An early 1900s Home remodel - part 3
In the third part of the “Behind the Project” series, we invite you to a newly added space to this 1910 Merriam Park home – a basement guest bathroom. This space was designed around the idea of creating a functional bathroom for the lower level of the home, carrying in the original warm wood accents, and a modern-vintage aesthetic.
Previously a standalone toilet in the lower level of the home with no surrounding walls, we converted the space to a functional bathroom, featuring warm tones of woods, earthy greens, and brass accents. The herringbone shower panels give the bathroom a clean and visually interesting feel, while contrasting the organic look of the luxury vinyl plank flooring.
This was the first of four bathrooms completed, designed to provide the clients with a fully functional bathroom while renovations continued on the upper floors.
