We are boomers so the thought of handing a full renovation to "kids" was, at first, a bit disconcerting. However, from the estimate through completion, Reid and his team resolved every issue from plumbing and electrical to design and implementation within budget and timeframe. The talent and knowledge of his team was simply amazing. Their dedication, work ethic , craftsmanship and problem solving skills are second to none.

I was fortunate to have them work on several projects including: wall framing, hang/tape/mud/finish drywall, paint, updating ceilings from textured to flat, window installation, trim work (baseboards, doors & windows), tile flooring in two bathrooms, adding & updating plumbing (copper to pex, change valves, add/replace toilets, add shower heads), shower installation, extending HVAC in our basement, electrical work and flooring. “I had a wonderful experience with Lucas Builders. They recently renovated my basement, which included a full gut and construction of a new family room, bedroom, and bathroom. Demolition began the last week of November 2024, and the renovation was finished the first week of February 2025. I interviewed eight contractors for this job and chose Reid, the owner and GC, because I felt he was the most trustworthy. And he was! He turned out to be kind, responsive, and respectful—not to mention always full of energy! He is very detail-oriented and makes sure the work is done at a high standard. Whenever there was an issue that had a potentially negative impact on the project (like problems with inspections or subcontractors), he always communicated directly and honestly with me. He genuinely cared about my comfort when it came to challenging aspects of the renovation (lots of strangers in and out of your home, noise, delays, etc.) and always took my questions and concerns seriously. Hannah, the designer, was also wonderful to work with. She had great suggestions for design but also listened to me when I had suggestions. Lucas Builders truly went above and beyond to deliver an incredible renovation at an affordable price; I was beyond impressed with what they were able to do within my budget. I still have a bathroom and kitchen to renovate, and I will absolutely be working with them again on those projects. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”
