An Early 1900s Home Remodel - Part 1
In this first post of its series, Lucas Builders takes you through this stunning remodel of a Merriam Park home originally built in 1910. This project spanned all four stories of the home, resulting in a total of six newly renovated spaces, including four bathrooms and a second-level bonus room.
Previously a laundry and playroom, the bonus room remodel shown above consisted of reworking the home’s ventilation system to better serve the home through its entire capacity. In addition to moving the laundry facilities, several walls and a bathroom were relocated, making space for an office and creating a more functional way to move throughout the second level of the home. This bonus room can now serve as a gathering space for the family to relax and enjoy the several built-in amenities that were added, while still preserving the natural charm of the home.
