Built in the early 1900s in one of St. Paul's most storied neighborhoods, this historic home came to Lucas Builders with decades of charm intact and a layout that needed to catch up with the demands of modern living. The challenge with a home of this age and character is never just construction — it is knowing what to keep, what to improve, and how to make the two feel seamless when the work is done.

Every decision throughout this remodel was made with the home's history in mind. Original details were preserved where possible and referenced throughout where new work was required. The result is a home that functions the way a family in 2024 needs it to while feeling exactly the way a Summit Avenue home should — timeless, considered, and built to last another century.
