The Elsie Inn Project

This Mahtomedi home off Elsie Inn had good bones but their family had simply outgrown their floorplan. These homeowners had a vision that covered every major space. Kitchen. Living areas. Bathrooms throughout. The scope was significant. The approach was careful.

The kitchen tells the story of the whole project. What had been a functional but disconnected space was rebuilt as the true center of the home. The layout was reconfigured, the surfaces replaced, and the relationship between cooking, dining, and gathering was restored to something that actually works. The living areas followed the same logic. Finishes updated, flow improved, and the character that made the home worth keeping left completely intact. Each bathroom was brought fully current with the same level of attention given to every other room in the house. Nothing was treated as secondary.
